Vision and Mission of Pallarimangalam Grama Panchayat
The development vision and mission of Pallarimangalam Grama Panchayat primarily focus on sustainable local development, public welfare, and the improvement of basic infrastructure. Like other local self-government institutions in Kerala, the Panchayat has adopted key objectives through the People’s Planning Process.
1. Vision
The primary vision of Pallarimangalam is to transform the Panchayat into a model green and healthy village that ensures a better quality of life and equal opportunities for all sections of society.
- Sustainable Agricultural Development: Promote traditional farming practices and enhance agricultural productivity by providing necessary support to farmers.
- Environmental Protection: Preserve ecological balance through the responsible use of natural resources and by creating a clean, waste-free environment.
- Social Equity: Ensure the welfare, safety, and empowerment of marginalized communities, women, children, and senior citizens.
2. Mission
To realize this vision, the Panchayat aims to undertake the following key initiatives:
- Infrastructure Development: Ensure access to safe drinking water, quality roads, street lighting, and public transportation facilities across all wards.
- Health and Education: Improve the quality of primary healthcare services, strengthen disease prevention measures, and modernize public schools to provide quality education.
- Waste Management: Strengthen the activities of the Haritha Karma Sena under the Malinyamuktham Navakeralam initiative and promote source-level waste management practices.
- Digital and Transparent Governance: Implement e-governance systems to deliver Panchayat services efficiently, transparently, and conveniently to the public.
- Employment Generation: Promote women’s empowerment and self-employment opportunities through Kudumbashree initiatives and ensure the effective implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
Summary
The Panchayat’s objective is to transform Pallarimangalam into a self-reliant village by ensuring social and economic security for its residents while simultaneously promoting sustainable physical and infrastructural development.
